I have just read an article that states “None of the cows that produce Woolworths Organic milk roam freely or graze in pastures”.
As I always try and buy all your so-called “organic” products, including your milk and cheese, I am very disturbed by this report. If this is true then we, as customers, are being misled by the label “organic” on your dairy products and they should immediately be removed..
I have always shopped at Woolworths because I believed you truly believed in the ethical treatment of animals. Since I have found out how “free-range” chickens actually live, I source all my chicken from other suppliers, but at least you don’t call them “organic” chickens. Many people are, however, also misled by the words “free range”.
Please let me know where you obtain your “organic” milk and cheese from and if these animals are allowed to roam freely on a permanent basis.
Yours faithfully
Colleen
